The term “Pro-Am” is a contraction of professional and amateur. The Special Forces Foundation Pro-Am is a full day event where Professionals (Green Berets) and Amateurs (civilian donors) are placed together on a team for a morning of firearms training followed by an afternoon of competing, putting those learned skills to use. These teams will consist of 4 donors and one active duty Green Beret.

The morning train-up will be led by SIG SAUER Academy staff, who are also Green Berets. The afternoon competition will consist of 5 stages relating to Special Forces missions over the years. Each squad of donors will be led by an active duty Green Beret and will compete against the other squads for best team and individual performance time.
